It was a beautiful day for a 10.5 mile mule ride to the bottom of the canyon.

We had to reserve our mule ride a year in advance.

The Indian head overlooks the valley below as we start on our adventure

It took about 5 hours to get to Phantom Ranch over a mile deep in the canyon.

We had an excellent steak dinner and a great breakfast in the valley, before our return ride up the canyon

The canyon views were incredible.

The rock formations were interesting to see as we wound our way back to the top.

These rock colorations were way cool too.
